A Study on Navigating the AI Revolution: Impacts and Challenges in Indian Educational Institutes
This research examines how much integration of artificial intelligence (AI) is possible in Indian educational institutions by looking at awareness levels, perceived relevance, preparedness, and adoption hurdles. Primary data were collected from 40 respondents—administrators, students, and faculty—using a structured Google Form survey. Statistical studies revealed moderate awareness and readiness, and accessibility and readiness correlated significantly (p < 0.05). Faculty, however, did more understand compared to administrators and students, suggesting that there is a knowledge gap among their roles. The results, based on the research, found important obstacles that are consistent globally, including high prices, lack of technical know-how, and privacy concerns. But a number of socioeconomic problems make the adoption of AI more difficult in India—there is unequal resource distribution. Regression analysis (R2 = 0.62) demonstrated that awareness and training availability were dominant predictors of preparedness, with the requirement for focused interventions highlighted. By bringing together the insights from my interviews, their mapping, and previous research that focus on developing countries, I fill a significant knowledge vacuum on AI adoption in underdeveloped countries and hence provide practical suggestions such as legislative frameworks, infrastructure development, and AI literacy initiatives. The potential of these can be gained by AI’s revolutionary potential in tackling these issues; making use of it in Indian educational institutions can improve teaching, learning, and also administrative effectiveness.
