Exploring the Role of AI Literacy on Employability Skills of Students in Higher Education Institutions
This research aims to provide a detailed bibliometric analysis around the concept of employability within the context of higher education and increased attention to the place of Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy. The research aims to address the differences of being adaptive, problem solving, collaborative, digitally literate, and a continuous learner. The research maps the scholarly conversations on the intersection of AI competence and skill development on the themes of emerging technology. Using a mixed-method approach, the research attempts to map the intellectual landscape using bibliometric techniques, and the Theory, Context, Characteristics, and Methodology (TCCM) framework to interrogate AI literacy within employability, curriculum design, and organizational fit. The analysis suggests that traditional soft skills are a key element of employability, and the infusion of AI literacy creates a greater need for innovative instructional design and measures. The research advocates for higher education institutions and policy makers to integrate AI literacy into the curriculum and organization strategy, particularly in digitally transforming contexts such as India, to train and equip graduates to work in AI enhanced environments.
